Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark led her team to their first home win of the season on Saturday afternoon, edging out the Chicago Sky 71-70 in a thrilling contest. Clark tossed the ball high into the air as time expired, giving the Fever the victory.
Clark finished the game with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Indiana's other star Breanna Stewart added 18 points and 10 rebounds. For the Sky, Angel Reese led the way with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while Courtney Vandersloot had 15 assists.
The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than 10 points at any point. In the end, it was Clark's heroics that made the difference, as she hit a fadeaway jumper over Reese with just seconds remaining to give the Fever the win.
With the victory, the Fever improve to 1-8 on the season, while the Sky fall to 3-3. The two teams will meet again on June 8th in Chicago.
